It seemed like the time would never come! With all the situation we have lived in recent months and with such an uncertain future, it seemed that the day would never come when you have your passport and visa in hand and you can board the plane that will take you to where you will spend the next four years of your life.
At MAE we have been working all summer with our students and their families to get those visas in time. It is true that not everyone has been able to make it to the beginning of this semester, but many have, and we want to tell you in this post about the first days of our MAE stars.
The first few weeks are usually the hardest, but this is normal. Students find that they don’t know anyone, they get lost in the facilities of the huge campuses and, in many cases, the level of English they were so proud of turns out not to be so high. However, this is only at the beginning. Soon they sign up for events organized by the university, meet people from class, start training with the team, and in less time than they think, they are on their way home for Christmas.
The visit to the uni facilities in the first days is one of the most exciting things the MAE stars experience upon arrival. The reality is that we are not used to having facilities like this and when our kids visit the university for the first time, they are astounded. Large university stadiums, state-of-the-art gymnasiums, customized locker rooms for each team… without a doubt, a place that every athlete would dream of being in.
Another of the most fun and exciting moments of the MAE stars athletes in their first weeks of college is the delivery of sports equipment and the individual and team photo session.
All those students who do not go to compete for their sport and focus more on academics, enjoy the campus and its facilities just as much. The buildings of each faculty are equipped with the best technologies, the libraries are unique places with a lot of charm. Finally, recreational areas, gyms and hobby clubs complete the experience for any student.
Now it is time to enjoy and make the most of this experience. We remind the MAE families that we are here to attend to any doubt or situation that may arise.
We look forward to receiving more photos and news from our MAE stars. For us it is a joy to open their emails and whatsapps with great news…
