It is about Gerard Sapena, Valencian athlete and sportsman of the
FER Project.
In this article, our young star comments on how difficult it is to combine studies with competitive sport in Spain, which is what led him to make the decision to move to the USA. He also tells how he started in athletics and what his challenges are.
Gerard signed an athletic scholarship last year with Wheeling Jesuit University in upstate West Virginia. With this, Gerard can combine his studies in Biology and his athletics training at a very high level.
Gerard is currently recovering from an injury but will soon return to competition. From MAE we support him and hope to see him soon giving war on the tracks and championships, both American and international.
