It was first introduced in 1926.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The SAT is owned and published by the College Board, a private, non-profit organization in the United States. It is developed and administered on behalf of the College Board by the Educational Testing Service organization. The test is intended to assess students&#8217; college readiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Sections:<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The SAT consists of two main sections: Reading and Writing Analysis, and Mathematics. Each section receives a score on a scale of 200-800.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <em>Reading and Writing<\/em> section includes academic texts from various natural and social science disciplines. Although sometimes texts from novels are included, which tend to be more complicated to understand. The texts, as well as the vocabulary, will emulate the most common materials in university courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Math section focuses on 3 main areas: algebra (30 percent of the problems), data analysis (30 percent), advanced concepts and others (polynomials, trigonometry, statistics, etc). Calculators are not allowed in all math sections. This section of the math test reflects a little more of the mathematical knowledge acquired in school and rewards reasoning rather than memorization of formulas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Time:<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SAT lasts 3 hours and 15 minutes including breaks. In addition, the student has the option to take the optional <em>essay<\/em>. In this case, the student will receive an extra 50 minutes to do so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Time per section and number of questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Reading<\/em>: It lasts 65 minutes and consists of 52 questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Writing and Language<\/em>: It lasts 35 minutes and consists of 44 questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Math<\/em>: Duration of 80 minutes and 58 questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Optional Essay<\/em>: Duration 50 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The SAT score, along with high school grades, letters of recommendation, and interviews, is a very important piece of information when it comes to being admitted to a university in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Guidelines you have to follow on the day of the exam:<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>First of all &#8211; Read the ticket! &#8211; In it you will find everything, absolutely everything, you need to know, i.e. time, place, what to bring, etc. So we recommend that you read it before you go.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Examination time<\/strong> The doors close at 8:00 am, so the ticket tells us to be there at 7:45 am. Keep in mind that now with the Covid issue there may be temperature measures and others that may delay a little, so we recommend arriving a little earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Place of examination<\/strong> Most of our clients have Castell\u00f3n or Evangelical in Madrid as their center. You have the exact address on the ticket. Watch it ahead of time so you don&#8217;t miss it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Identification<\/strong> You must bring your ID card or passport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Examination material<\/strong> The examination is done in pencil.
